well.
What are Some Garden Landscaping Ideas?
In regards to garden landscaping, there is truly a multitude of tips,
tricks, and ideas that you can use. For instance, there are five basic
elements of garden landscaping design in particular that need to be
considered, which are: color, form, line, scale, and texture.
Color is quite obvious; this is in regards to all of the colors that you
use in your design for garden landscaping. This is not to say however
that you can only use one color for your garden landscaping, as this is
certainly not true. You can in fact incorporate basically as many colors
as you want, but you have to remember the key word which is balance. In
other words, use what colors you want but balance them out so that
everything flows together well.
Basically form has to do with the shape and size of things, and in
regards to the balancing out of the garden landscaping design overall.
For example, the leaves of one tree can possess an incredibly different
form than that of another, and in fact leaf form in itself has a great
impact on the overall appearance of the tree as well as your garden
landscaping design.
The matter of line basically refers to that of the viewer’s eye movement
due to the arrangement of the involved plants and their borders. After
all, eye movement is unconsciously influenced by that of the way that
plants and their groupings fit or flow together, and so this is
incredibly important to keep in mind in order to have a proper flow of
your garden landscaping design overall.
Scale basically has to do with the sizing of the plants that are
involved in your garden landscaping design, and this is important as you
need to have proper scaling throughout the design overall; for instance,
you do not want to have every plant except for one be huge, and the last
be incredibly small, as this will throw off the scale of the garden
landscaping design. Rather, you should stick to a basic size, and if you
do want different sized plantings, you need to remember to balance them
out properly.
Finally, texture is in regards to the texture of the plants and other
design elements that you choose for your garden; you do not have to
stick to only a single type of texture or boring textures, but again you
need to remember the issue of balance. Also, try to choose textures that
coordinate well with the specific parts of the garden landscaping
design, so that in the end everything will work and flow together well.
